Oh, I just love where this pair ended up! I was contemplating what would happen if the Princess decided not to kiss the frog in the end.  Perhaps she wasn’t seeking a prince after all but instead really longed for a pet frog?  Or perhaps she was really more of a hugger?   Or maybe she was smitten with the little green prince, just the way he was? During the course of the creation of this painting, their expressions and postures changed multiple times until they landed here in this moment. The contrast of their individual experiences just cracks me up. Love is certainly a twisty-turny adventure - full of moments of sweetness …and trepidation.
